AYURVEDA BASIC CLASS This is a 2h class giving you the fundamentals of Ayurveda to a healthier lifestyle. Key topics should include: - Principles of Ayurveda: Introduce the foundational concepts, including the five elements (ether, air, fire, water, earth), doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), the concept of Prakrit (individual constitution) and how all of them affect our body and mental health in a positive (balanced) or negative (unbalanced) way. - Doshas & Life Phases: In Ayurveda, life is divided into three main phases, each governed by one of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, or Kapha. These phases influence our physical, mental, and emotional states throughout life. - Daily & Seasonal Routines: Highlight the significance of Dinacharya (daily routines) and Ritucharya (seasonal routines) in promoting well-being. - Agni: Understand how to balance our Agni (digestive system/metabolism) for good health and avoid imbalanced Agni, which leads to diseases. - Ama: refers to the toxic waste or undigested substances that accumulate in the body due to weak digestion (low Agni). It is considered the root cause of many diseases. We will learn how to naturally help your body to detox and avoid toxins. - Ayurvedic Diet and Nutrition: Discuss the importance of diet in maintaining health, emphasizing the role of food as medicine.
